The Eldar fleet only consisted of two (proxied) Aurora light cruisers, while the Chaos fleet was a Hades, Murder, and Slaughter cruisers along with attack craft support from the nearby Chaos controlled planet.
Turn 1
The Eldar fleet skirts the edge of the battlefield while the chaos cruisers attempt to close with their speedy foes. Only 2 lances are in range, which both promptly miss. These are the only shots fired all game. The planet also launches bombers on an intercept course.
It became apparent that the Eldar are planning to flee off my board edge which lets them stay in the system and be a general pain in my ass.
Turn 2
The Eldar continue their run for safety, while the Chaos bombers actually manage to get one hit through holofields and Braced for Impact, which critically damages one of the Aurora's superstructure & cripples the vessel.
On the Chaos turn their cruisers shuffle around, as there is a planet blocking their sight to the Eldar fleet they can't do much of anything. The planet manages to reload and launch more bombers: the first three go after the already crippled Aurora, which despite bracing for impact and holofields takes one more hit straight into the ship's infinity circuit causing a plasma drive overload!
The other Aurora caught in the ensuing explosion is crippled and has its holofields destroyed! The now defenseless Eldar ship is promptly bombed into oblivion by the remaining chaos bombers.
Both fleet commanders are a little surprised at the very abrupt and decisive. . .
[Chaos Victory]
